I know I've lit the propane lamp before, but I can't remember how. We have one in our Compact over the stove. It has the little handle on the side. I tried lighting it today with no luck, but I'm not even sure I had the gas on.
I read the directions in the post here, but I'm still unclear, and want to be clear before we all go boom.
It outlines all from assembly to usage. In the diagram it appears the "on" position is up, and to turn it off turn the knob down to turn off. Likely, the lamp originally had a label on the side to indicate the correct positions, but like so many other vintage parts, the labels have worn off...
