I have purchased a '61Shasta and am in the process of bringing her back to life. The rear bumper has corroded beyond repair and I am in need of a replacement. While I prefer original, I will consider repro if that is an option. Can anyone provide input on this? Many thanks!!

my 61 just has a basically square bumper, any welding shop should be able to fab you one up, or weld in pieces to fix your, just weld in pieces, grind, sand, and paint. there is nothing special about mine.

after looking at mine again it is just a piece of what looks like 4 inch C-channel cut at a 45 degree angle on the ends. any Iron shop should have this

Perfect. Actually, it's just the bottom that has corroded out, and it looks like an easy fix. Thank you for the suggestion.
