New to the board. I've been working on restoring my '83 Friendship 17 1/2. Been looking for a pair of wings to finish the job. Anyone here got any leads or a pair for sale?

from what I understand the wings went from 58-84. "the Late Wings: The wings of the late 70s and early 80s looked like the picture below and were made of plastic. Most models, still had wings in 1984. They seem to have been discontinued about 1985. The original size of this era were 6.75' high, 26 " long by 5/8" thick." check out this page for more info, FYI ebay or craigslist is probably where you will find them. www.freewebs.com/kc8jwa/wings.htmhere is a cute 83 with the wings www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EinG-ylKBk

I stand very corrected and thanks, UE, for pointing out my mistake. I've been under the impression that the company had phased the wings out by the mid to late '70s, using the wing placard with the emblem in it in '73 and '74, and they kinda disappeared altogether after that. I've seen a few of the '80s models like the Friendship, that didn't have any, so it turns out they were just missing like so many of their older cousins...

Universal - thanks for finding the video of the Friendship. I didn't even realize they existed. I thought everything in the 80s was becoming behemoth. I wonder if they still had wood frames by then?

Thanks to all for the info. I do have a sales brochure of my unit showing wings. The wing info with the accompanying template will allow me to fabricate a pair.
Once again my sincere thanks to all.

What is the correct wing size for a 65 13 ft. airflyte? My new angel has lost her wings.
