I'd be tempted to use bondo or some kind of epoxy to fill it.

Gorilla glue and a plug to fit. You could even do more than one plug if it was easier. Just sand the result. Be careful to use a sparing amount of Gorilla glue so it doesn't "grow".

I usually use a matching color of Famowood filler. Force it the void ends, making sure to get it in at least 1/2" or more. Let it dry and lightly sand it smooth.

I dont think I would go with Gorilla Glue.. If you put too much in it may expand and put outward pressure on the ply. I would tape the botom, set it upright and mix some 5 minute epoxy... Pour ot in just to the top, and presto you are all set. That would probably be the strongest part of the whole board!

I heard you could mix wood glue with sawdust from the same type wood and get a good match.
