The mice killed the 3 drawers in my '61 Compact, and I foolishly disposed of them before getting their measurements. Would anyone have the dimensions for the drawer above the fridge, and the two drawers below the oven? I'll either re-fab or look for close matches. Thanks!

Rule #1 of a restoration...Don't Throw Anything Away!! Now that you've learned that lesson, the hard way , I took drawer measurements of my1963 compact. They are original drawers. I’ve tried to be very simplistic in my description so that anyone who may not know anything about woodworking will be able to understand and recreate theirs if necessary. (Not including the drawer bottom) there are 5 pieces of wood per drawer, 4 that make the frame of the drawer/box and one as the drawer face. The frame measurements do not include the drawer face measurements and all measurements are outside measurements (meaning they include the thickness of the wood). Thickness of wood is same for all drawers 3/8" for face and 1/4" for the 3 sides of the frame but the piece of framing wood behind the drawer face is 3/8” thick. Over the fridge: face: 17 1/2" wide x 5 1/4" high/tall frame: 16 1/2" wide x 3 7/8" high x 19 1/2" deep Under oven: 1st under face: 20 1/4" wide x 5 1/4" high frame: 19 3/8" wide x 4 1/4" high x 17" deep 2nd under/bottom face: 20 1/4" wide x 5 1/4" high frame: 19 1/4" wide x 4 1/4" high x 13 3/4" deep I hope I’ve explained that well enough and not left anything out!

Thanks! I love the way every drawer is slightly different. I noticed that years ago as a kid, and always wondered why. I suspect by the 1970s everything was standardized.
