All you procrastinators better book soon! Only three spots left! And there are others still trying to book! Ok, so they said we could get a few more if needed but they won't be with the group! They said the rate is $32/night now and unfortunately they can't do anything for us due to utility cost increases in the area, which on a side note I know is true. They are very excited to have us. This will be their first vintage trailer gathering! They also said although the flooding in the area was bad they had no damage. Here's the list updated as of 4/10/13. Site, Screen name, Arrival, Names; C1 - Kto17, Thursday, Doug, Marcy & kids C2 - Petewhit, Friday, Pete, Cindy, and their girls Charlotte and Lane C3 -Madonnak, Friday, Kay & Barry C4 - 65Callie, Thursday, Jim & Lois C5 - Offspringin, Thursday!, Ken & Jessica C6 - Harrison429, Thursday, Bill & Robin C7 - Dianemayes, Thursday, Steve & Diane C8 - Flyingham, Thursday, Jeff & Kiersten w/children Charlee and Parks C9 - 67scotty, Thursday, Kelly Brown and Deana C10 - Dsadki, Thursday, Doug & Sue C11 - (son & daughter-in-law of 65Callie)Friday, Brian and Raquel C12 - TCT, Thursday, Eric Letendre C13 - Cjloftus, Thursday, Bill & Carrie C14 - TCT, Thursday, Carol Chenault C15 - KimB, Thursday, Kim C16 - Becinala, Thursday, Becky +1 C17 - Boandsusan, Thursday, Susan & Bo B3 - Egar, Friday, Egar & Wife B4 - NA, Friday, Rob and Leslie B5 - NA, Thursday, Lanny Webb B6 - Kristi, Thursday, Donald & Kristi B24 - TCT, Thursday, Joy Taylor B25 - AS, Thursday, My Parents Schedule: Thursday Dinner - Fish Fry put on by Riverbend bring side dishes Thursday Evening - Early Bird Social (adult beverages) Friday Morning - Sleep late Friday Lunch - Pinic by the trailers Friday Afternoon - Cornhole Tournament? Saturday day - Free time; Visit the Big Green Egg Feast (its taste testing) at the Fairgrounds, a Winery, Hiking trail, Helen (nearby town), Fishing Saturday Dinner - Pot Luck Sunday morning - Good Bye Brunch Local Sites to See: There are a few wineries nearby if anyone wanted to go for a tasting. Habersham is near Helen and Hightower Creek is east of Hiawassee. I don't know anything about them so you may want to look them up. Young Harris has Brasstown Valley Resort with Golf and spa. Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia is not far from the Campground and so is Anna Ruby Falls. www.mountainegg.com/index.phpwww.hightowercreekvineyards.com/www.habershamwinery.com/www.unicoistatepark.org/anna-ruby-falls.html

Becinala Thursday C16. Boandsusan C17 Friday. Bo has to work Thursday. We`ll leave here Thursday evening and be there early Friday morning. We understand that we can`t bring Mr Sam into the campground until 1pm though, which is fine.

This was a suggestion from someone from the TCT group and not having to cook and clean the morning of the tour sounds good to me. Selfishly, because it would be easier for me, I'd would prefer people just contribute some sort of snack, if people pitch in money I would have to go get stuff and haul it all. Is that bad? This has grown so fast to 20 sites reserved and 6 more held for us. I feel like I will be busier than I hoped. I just don't want folks to be disappointed. No big deal!! We don't want any of this to be "work" for anyone! I will just plan to bring something for continental breakfast that will serve 20 or more. On with the TOUR!!!

I will bring my 30 cup perculator for coffee, plus a breakfast type item to share. Maybe I will make waffles with my vintage waffle irons, if someone else wants to bring a jug of syrup.

WooHoo, I get to go!! I'm reserved at C15. I'll be there Thursday with my '63 Airflyte. She's rough but she's campable. This will be my first camping trip with my Shasta. Thought I would bring cinnamon rolls for Saturday or Sunday am. I will need an oven, or several (homemade cinnamon rolls). I am looking forward to meeting everyone. Kim

Glad you can make it! I guess I need to call to hold more spots! There should be a few of us with ovens you can use. You may want to bring an oven thermometer just in case. I read that you need them. That should make a little camper smell good for the tour! MMMMmmmm.... Now I'm hungry!

kto17, are the sites large enough for a 10x10 easy-up screen house? We are on C10. Looking forward to this! :-)

WOW!!!!
All 25 sites are booked! I called to hold some more, just waiting for them to call me back. I think 5 more should do it. We can hold them till about April 1st. After that all holds are off.

I took the liberty of drawing up the map and linking sites with names. I did this for our rally last fall. I print it and take it with me camping so i have a cheat sheet on who is in what site etc etc. If more people come I will update the map. I just copied the most recent list (2-27-13) that Doug posted word for word. I didn't bother drawing up the entire campground or any sites not with our group currently. Attachments:

Wagon Master Doug: Since so many are attending the rally, what about a swap meet (vintage trailer related items)? Maybe same time as tour? I have things I would like to sell/swap/give away, I'm sure others do too. Just an idea since my pajama parade idea flopped

I'm kidding of course. Sounds fine to me. Just be sure to mark things clearly that are for sale. Otherwise someone will be trying to buy all the UGA stuff in Offsprings trailer.

oh doug, like the rest of us you're a rally master in the making...making special treats for us all can you be any more specific in what you're looking for in pics? group shots, personal shots, vintage shots? or really just any pic we like? after all, i wouldn't necessarily want 65callie to send this one to you to do goodness knows what with! ;D Attachments:

Thank you Robin, thats my desktop for the day! ;D That is great!
I have two companies lined up to donate swag (aka gimmies) that are vintage trailer related. In turn they ask for feedback, rally photos, and of course some business. Based on business generated by our rally they decide if they send us more next time.
I'm also working on a local business to sponsor the cornhole tournament so we can have a trophy of some sort. No commitment yet...
Thinking about rally t-shirts.....
Anyone want to organize the potluck for me?

Basically the same thing you guys did with McKinney to make sure we didn't have 5 different bowls of Mac n' Cheese.
We also need the side for Thursdays fish fry and hush puppies. Maybe we should just post what we can bring.
I have to coordinate the TCT folks through Facebook.
