Well I am using LED lighting inside my camper (along with 110v) and I have been doing some reading, it turns out that putting more than 12 Volts into LED lights can burn them out really fast (like when using them while you are charging the battery) I have found out you need to use a 12V 1A Low Dropout Regulator this regulates any voltage that is going toward the lights down to 12 Volts max. so if your charger is putting out 14 volts, this cuts it down to 12 volts to make sure your LED lights last, my question is, does anyone know exactly how to use one of these? best I can figure it might be like this? is this right? whats is the hole in the top for, can I run a screw through it for mounting it to the frame?

The bulbs we bought have a working voltage of 10-26V so it shouldn't be a problem if the battery is outputting a little over 12V. What kind of LEDs are you running?
