I am refinishing the cabinets in our trailer. I have sanded all the cabinet doors down to 150 grit in preparation for the new shellac. Can I stop there, or should I keep going to 220 or further?
Thanks.

I would do a finial sanding of 220. This will give you a much cleaner and smoother finish.

Hamlet dittos Ross - we ended w/220 and the finish turned out great. Just be careful if you're working with the paneling as you can sand right through the top layer. Not that we would know this of course. ;-)

Yeah, I had a piece of the old veneer come up. Had to glue back in place!
