Ah, Well, how about the bugs? I have an aluminum screen door which has worn out holes for attaching the hinges and the bottom edge has worn through. In looking to rebuild/repair this I have only found one source of the aluminum channel, but I can only order 20 12ft sections. I don't know if anyone had had this issue and has a solution. I really don't want a wooden replacement. Any one interested in the channel? Mark Attachments:

Have you compared the channel to the DIY screen kits? I 'think' it would work but I have yet to compare them directly. Of course you would need to salvage the center part or recreate.

Yes, I have looked at the screen frame available at the home centers. Too light in weight and too narrow in width. Good Idea though, we thinking alike, we are!
