I'm finishing up on my rear window A/C install? I'm replacing the plexiglass and looking at the different caulks I have and was wondering if Roofing Cement in the tube would be good to use to seal and waterproof the window from water? It seems to be plyable enough to seal and would be easy to remove if need be in the future? Has anybody ever done this or thought on this please speak up I'm all ears?
This would go between the plexi and the aluminum window frame on a 1966 shasta 1500 trailer?

Ok ok but I'm not talking about roof coating its just the black stuff that doesn't get hard? It's like asphaltic bituminous stuff? More like a real soft putty?

I believe that stuff will
1) get soft and possibly run on a vertical surface when hot 2) attract leaves and other particals when driving or windy 3) smell like roofing tar when it's hot
It would be a mess, order the tremco 635 from VTS it's made for trailer manufacturing. All if not most of the sealants sold at home centers are just that, for homes not trailers!!

Geo Cell Clear, paint-able and stain-able, works for nearly everything. I am an exterior contractor in Minnesota and we have a very harsh climate. You can find it at building supply places such as Alside, ABC supply, Allied building products, Also something similar that they have at Home Depot is Quad Clear also paint-able and stain-able
