Well, You have to turn the trailer on it's side first then you can open the door from the top . If you look to the bottom you can see my step just inside the door and I wish that I'd painted the door with the amber shellac that I used on the step. I also have to do some work on the cut out on the door so I can close the hole off and keep bugs out. I'm missing the bottom hinge so its operating with only the middle and top hinge but it seem to be okay so far. If anybody has a hinge that I can buy I'd like to try and fix the missing hinge? thanks for everybody's nice words and all the helpful info on this forumn!!

If you stand it on end like in the picture, you will have to build an extension-door-stop, to hold the door open! Shellac is really nice, but on the other hand, the white will help brighten up the interior when the door is shut. The way that you have that cutout around the door handle, maybe an easy way out to cover the hole might be a piece of screen material with a sewn-on border, and velcro, so that it just would press on over the hole, and remove easily for access to the handle.

CRW I was thinking along those lines but I'll more than likely make some sort of wood cover, but till then a sock will work just as good.
