So the demolition on My "56" has begun.... No issues yet, just ALOT of flat head screws and other misc Bolts that the guy used around the trim to hold the front aluminum skin together. Attachments:

If you're rebuilding it, it might fit better in the "Shasta Owners' Restorations" section...

You might want to move this thread over to "Shasta Owners Restorations"... Might fit there a bit better. Then that thread will continue to be about YOUR restoral... I like the way you started. May as well complete the front end before you move on. Otherwise you will end up tearing the entire trailer apart. Always work in sections. Start a section, finish it and move on to the next. I would also suggest completely replacing the front metal as I did so you can fold the edges over a half inch on the corners and use J Rail instead of Corner Cap. It's all in my Shasta videos so you should have no problem following along. Have the metal made at least two inches longer (left to right or wider if you like) than what you need. As seen in my videos you can trim it after it's on. Notice that the top skin above the windows is where the S folds are. You will need to have metal made with S folds for the sides and inbetween the front windows. The S folds should be at the bottom of the windows where the old ones were. You will need at least the outter pieces made because you want to fold over the sides on these little pieces also. So have a seperate piece made with S folds that you can cut up for the sides of the front windows and inbetween if needed. I know we are talking about width here but I keep saying length because that is how long they cut the metal before running it through the bender machine. If you want it to be 6 inch breaks just like you have now they will have to bend it by hand using the hand break They charge a little more for that but it's worth it. MAKE SURE to talk to Steve Loomis if you order from Hemet Valley RV and tell him exactly what you need and why. His break can handle up to 14 ft total length (which is really the width of the trailer you are talking about). Hope I didn't confuse you too much. As always you may email me if you have any questions. Perhaps one of the Moderators will move this thread for you.

Looks very thorough, it almost looks like you had to start from the ground up on that with all that re framing, panels and shellac.
