Are there any other sites for campers like this? I know of nobody else with an Avalon. Don't know where to get any info on them. But I do somehow feel second class on a Shasta Site.

I started out with a Shasta, then got a Frolic, and I haven't been kicked off yet. Other regulars here have SOB's I'm sure. The only other repair site I've found is repairingyesterdaystrailers.yoku.com (I think that's right) which is also excellent, but don't leave here. Variety is the spice of life, and no one is really keeping track of what you have. Just dig in, searching all the good stuff that's already posted and asking away!

Gracias Compa. I just have a million questions. And can find nothing about Avalon Campers.

I have a Siesta, but I hang out here because I like the people and there's so much great info on trailers in general.

Brokevet, don't feel second class. I have what may be the only ALTI caboose camper left in the world, there were only 10 or less ever built to begin with, so there's NO where to find info on it. It seems to me that once you take away the brand name they're all pretty much the same under the skin. The folks here all seem so nice, they have links to lots of great restoration/replacement part places, and are very free with sharing their knowledge and experience. I've been lurking for quite a while just reading about people's restorations, and once the rebuild of my caboose starts I'm sure I'll have a million dumb questions.

Hi Brokevet I hope you stay because we love the SOB's. There is a RV restoration biz in Benicia Ca called Avalon.....http://www.avalon-rv.com/index.html guy's name is Adam....maybe he named his biz after his first resto or something. You also might want to contact Juergen Eichermuller who knows something about every travel trailer ever made. www.allmanufacturedhomes.com/html/juergen_eichermueller.htm He also runs a yahoo group which I can't remember the name of.
