I have been lurking here, benefiting from all the knowledge, I don't have a Shasta, however I do have an older 1991 truck camper with aluminum roof. the roof has become degraded with several pin holes and bad spots. I know about eternabond and rubber membranes, However I do have experience with fiberglass. I am not concerned about the visual appearance as it will not be seen I am move concerned about a leak free roof. Is there any reason why fiberglass gel with a layer of matting could not be used?? thank you

not sure, I would be concerned about the truck camper flexing and causing the fiberglass to separate from the aluminum or come off and fly down the highway, I am sure they make something for just your situation, it is a common issue.

I had a 66 Aladdin with fiberglass and mat here and there on the roof seams. It peeled right off, so perhaps it wasn't prepped very well.
New aluminum on the roof would be the way to go. Not very expensive and you'll do the edge trim (J rails) at the same time...
