I'd appreciate your opinions, as I'm just not good with colors and visualizing things. I'm going with blue as the main color. Not aqua, but a slate blue. Counter laminate is a linen look of blue and tan on putty. Curtains will probably be off white cotton except over the sink which is a colorful pattern of blue with red, yellow, black, white. Seats probably blue with off white V insert on back rest. I'm may go the safe route with 2 tone tan checkerboard floor, but wonder how yellow and light tan would look. What do you think? Pictures I keep seeing are black and white checkerboard and I don't think I want that.

A similar blue and off white/cream, maybe? Black and white checkers are awesome..but not so much in a tiny space, it's kind of overwhelming.

I don't want black and white. I was thinking a buttery yellow and very light tan.

Hard to visualize what tht would look like, especially with blue. Maybe a light blue and yellow? Or a linen color similar to the table?

It would be great if you could throw up a few pics of your color palette. Hard for me to visualize with just naming the colors. I think the checkerboard can work with 2 colors, you could also think about doing a pattern that is different with 2 colors, by cutting down the vct and using it to make a line or border. not sure if that makes sense

I like that Mobiltec. Blue counter too. Exterior blue: Laminate. Sorry for the blur. Actual sample isn't as aqua as website image. Floor: Maybe the last one alone or with a darker tan. I have lots of samples here I'm playing with. I want more color, but not everything blue. (I think) Hope that helps.

Better coloring of the fabric: Do you think the yellow/cream checkerboard would look good?

I've decided I'm keeping the pale yellow laminate. It looks good and hopefully I'll be able to find the one yellow sliding piece for above the dinette. I have 1 and the other is missing. I really wanted to reconfigure the bathroom area to make a little more counter room and add a large fridge, but I'd rather have the original counter. The yellow will look good with the blue, as these photos show.

You an also make the sliders out of 1/4 inch ply, use your curtain fabric (mounted behind) or do something like what I did using acrylic (which will have light shining through at night. sorry the pic is a little dark, I keep meaning to take a new one and then forgetiing to. Here's a link to the material You an also make the sliders out of 1/4 inch ply, use your curtain fabric (mounted behind) or do something like what I did using acrylic (which will have light shining through at night. sorry the pic is a grainy. I got it at Tap Plastics it's called pearl. Used it for the divider between stove and dinette too.

Very nice!
I've decided I'm going to keep the yellow and be on the hunt for the one slider from someone parting out or changing theirs. Still thinking on the floor. Either cream all over or cream and blue checkerboard.
