We own a 1974 Shasta XL2000. My husband is ready to check out the plumbing. Does anyone have any opinions or experiences with the iron pipes in a trailer 40 years old. Does he need to replace all the plumbing with PVC? We are thinking the inside of the pipes might be rusted and the water might not be safe to drink. The second question is regarding the water heater. It appears to be galvanized on the outside. Does anyone know what the inside of it might be lined with. We are just starting to check out all the systems and he is starting with water supply and water heater Thanks in advance for your responses.
