I have just removed the tiles from my Shasta and have one area that is stained with mouse urine. It appears this camper sat for a while with a family of mice living in it and the were using the drawer and floor behind the drawer as a urinal.. If some one has the cure please respond. I will be putting 1/4 subfloor over the floor to level it before new tiles go down..
This floor is solid so please don't respond with cut it out. I do not want to weaken the original structure
It is one area about 1' X 1'.. Thanks

I put all new drawer bottoms and a couple of drawer sides and backs in mine and then (re)painted everything - the original finish was ruined anyway. I'd paint the offending areas with a stain blocking primer and then paint over that, then put your new subfloor down.

I like the idea of a stain blocking primer and then painting, but for a quick fix, dump a bunch of baking soda on the area, leave it overnight and then brush off. It might help you be able to stand it long enough to paint, lol. I had a situation once with some cat urine and I was amazed at what the baking soda accomplished.

About 4-1/2 gallons of kerosene and a good Zippo usually will work....
Oh wait...that is the preferred method while the mice are still present. Sorry for the confusion....

Spray it very heavy with febreez allow to dry then seal witha good primer sealer you might even soak it multiple times with febreez and get rid of it, but I would seal it anyway just for insurance. This as works on cat smell.

Use Zinsser B.I.N. primer, it's shellac based and will seal the odor. Or if you don't want it painted white, use a couple coats of clear Shellac(don't use straight shellac on the floor, use the primer)

You might also try Urine Gone - that stuff will eliminate any smell, but just to forewarn you - it gets worse before it gets better. Just spray, leave it alone, and be patient for a few days. If it smells worse, that means it's working and it will go away. I think they sell it at Walgreens or Bed, Bath & Beyond.

After all the above, use cinnamon just before laying your flooring. Doesn't take much... Also, you can re-build the drawer and replace the bottom.
