I'd appreciate your thoughts. I'm having a hard time deciding. I love this one, but the blue is too aqua. I'm wondering if it'll blend instead of clash. May go with this one. Fits the Route 66 theme nicely. This is my curtain fabric: Not sure which laminate. I may have found a source for the Skylark. This is the exterior color: Haven't decided on flooring. Either blue and white checkerboard, black and white checkerboard, or all off-white. I'm not good at decorating and can't stand clashing colors. What do you think?

I love the black and white sparkly cushion fabric. Yes it does look like the center line down route 66! Also, I prefer it with your curtain fabric. Either of those laminates will be awesome. Looks super! I love seeing the dream board come together. Nice choices.

Thank you. It's funny how I keep going one way then another. But I've come all the way back to a retro diner look, but added Route 66 somewhere along the way. Am I the only one that flip-flops? ETA: I'm kinda going backwards doing interior decor first, but the shed isn't up yet so I have to do something. Besides, my aunt closed her upholstery shop, but agreed to do my cushions if I'm in no hurry so she can work a little here and there. Sure! So I need to get the fabric ordered for her before she changes her mind.

Tough call on the laminate – but I agree, I like the black-and-white fabric for the cushions. I would almost lean toward the first laminate – just so you're not overpowered by the blue, plus it would tie in the cushion fabric if you go with the black-and-white for those. Are your walls original wood, or are they painted? That would definitely factor in to your decision.

The walls will be painted off-white. You're thinking like I'm afraid of with the blue being too much or clashing. I've even been tempted to go with am off white laminate. Thinking of doing the table top with postcards from Route 66. I'm going to lay that out and see how it looks. The laminate may end up on just the counters. Not sure about the slides yet. So much to think about!

Oh, then maybe the second laminate would be better? Love the idea of the postcard tabletop! It's going to look adorable – can't wait to see it!

It looks like the only Skylark Boomerang I'll be able to get it a 3x4 sheet. :-( Thanks for your suggestions. It sure helps! I'm going with the black and white vinyl. :-) Going to get it ordered.

Don't worry about the curtain fabric... You can change that/will need to in the next half dozen years (and it looks great for now). The black/white fabric with the grey/blue (lighter) laminate will be fabulous. Floor? Light blue and grey or light blue/off white. Also, make some pillow covers in the curtain fabric and do pillow trim and curtain tiebacks in the dark red that's in the fabric. It's a warmer color and will provide a contrast as well as tie together a warm white on the walls and any original wood or brown appliances. Can't wait to see pictures!

Can you tell me your source for that great cushion fabric??? THANKS! I got samples from 4 or 5 places, but the best looking is from Vogue Fabrics. It has more dimension. The others look "flat" if that makes sense.

This may sound stupid, but I've been cutting out a mock camper from foam board and going to decorate it with printouts of these things. I'm just geeky like that.

The postcards I've printed for the table are the large letter "Greetings From" postcards of states and towns along Route 66. Just for kicks I may add this one. (fictional town in the movie Cars)
