Well for starters, my wife and I have been looking at building a teardrop until now. She came across a shasta with the wings and fell in love with it. Now instead of a teardrop she only wants a shasta. A few problems I am finding: -no decent shastas around me. -ones close to me are in such disrepair it isn't even funny.
So I was looking around the web to see if there are any building plans for the shasta with no luck. Does anyone know where I can get plans to build one from scratch or any ideas. Thanks for the help.

What a few of us did(including myself) is buy one in disrepair, and use it for patterns and templates and completely rebuild the trailer.
Shasta is not known for being a quality built trailer in the vintage trailer world. IMHO almost any non restored and used Shasta is going to need to be rebuilt due to rot and poor original build quality.

Curtis, Schweetcruisers is right. I thought I found one in decent shape, but when I took the skin off it had tons of rot, mice droppings etc. At first I was hesitant to rebuild, but it has been a lot of fun doing custom things and really making it your own. It also is nice because this forum is so helpful and people are amazingly generous with their ideas, blogs and are very willing to help. Cool community.
Whatever you decide, good luck!

Thank you for the quick response and advice. Also does anyone know the height of the finished trailer. Due to my HOA, i am going to have to try and place the shasta in my garage for restore (that is why I was going to do a teardrop). Even if I have to take the wheels and/or axle and suspension off during restore its ok.

There have been quite a few members who are in your same boat, they remove the axle and put heavy duty casters on the corners, so they can roll it out if necessary.

Hamlet says, DITTO DITTO DITTO!!! Find a really cheap-o one, use all the parts that aren't useable for templates, then build one you and your wife will love. You can make it look modern inside, or you can have all the modern amenities, while still maintaining a very vintage feel. Our goal was to make the modifications we wanted (extra ceiling height, extra closet and cupboard space, full-size bed, and potty-room with shower) while making it look like it was designed that way from the start. Unless people know how the trailer was originally laid out, they'd never guess that it's not original. Here's a link to the blog post our daughter did about Hamlet... www.howiseelife.com/blog/2011/06/20/trailer/Schweet mentioned the height, and what others have done to lower them to garage height. You might also want to search around the boards for comments from several folks who have adjusted the height of the opening of their garage doors to accommodate the extra trailer height. It isn't a big change. Our Compact is a little UNDER 8 feet, and that is with the extra 3+ inches we added to the ceiling height so my hubby wouldn't have to hunch over when he's in the front of the trailer. Good luck in finding your "perfect" trailer!

Another reason you might want to work with a Shasta in disrepair is that it will hopefully have many of the original parts that give it it's character. Such as light fixtures, locks, handles, wings, hardware, etc. Also you will have the right frame to start with.
