Just bought one of these. Have read the owners manual but still have questions if anyone could help me.
1. I can't figure out what and where the 120 volt to 12 volt converter referenced in the manual is. I.t seems to say that when you plug up to a power source it automatically powers all the 12 volt systems
2. If you have the camper plugged in at home just for lights and TV (20 amp converter) should the car battery be hooked up all the time?
3. If the battery is hooked up when you unplug the 110 volt source does the battery automatically kick in to power the fridge, lights, etc? The manual says you must cut all the breakers before disconnecting from the 110 source.
Thanks

1.) There is (most probably) an AC/DC power distribution center in your Shasta. This is an AC breaker box with a built in converter to charge your DC battery while plugged into shore power.
2.) If you have 120VAC coming into your camper, you should be good, and your battery will stay charged.
3.) More than likely there is a transfer switch, to go from AC to DC power.. however there may NOT be one, in which case, yes, when you disconnect from shore power your battery will power lights, water pump, etc.. I would guess that it would NOT power refrigerator or any other constant running electric motor device.
