If you are looking for "boondocking " sights, than look no further! Northern Idaho is where I have spent all my life and is hands down some of the most beautiful country you will ever park a Shasta on. The Coeur 'd Alene river and little north fork are just a couple places that are free, beautiful, and easy to access, not to mention waterfront on one of the most beautiful rivers known. I would recomend it to any of you looking for an adventure. I will post some of my own pics soon. This is where i am going as soon as im done with my "vacation" to this god aweful desert, and my shasta's coming with me!

Ditto on your recommendations! Don't forget the Sandpoint area and Lake Pend O'reille. I think I spelled it right. We love going to northern Idaho to go skiing and the antiquing is fun too.

I was trolling RV Parks For Sale yesterday...I mean who doesn't?...and there are a couple of parks for sale In Idaho...I mean why just buy vintage campers when you can have the whole enchilada! It's a fun search to see what parks are available. I agree Idaho IS beautiful, and the fishing is great too!

Bruce that's hilarious! Last summer hubby and I were trolling resorts for sale in Minnesota. Never thought of an RV park ... what a cool job for you!

Oh wow! I think you are on to something here. Running an RV park would be the ultimate dream for us vintage trailer addicts. Especially if they are lake- or river-side. I dream of owning a small RV park in southern Utah to catch the snow birds as they flock to the south......

Since I live just outside of Coeur'Alene in the the hills I will say T is right. It is very beautiful here. We also have some great camping up on Priest Lake. Also Bruce those two campgrounds for sale, the one floods every spring and the other one changes hand quite often.

I also love the cabinet mountains area in Northern Idaho, and spend a bit of time on the Payette River in Cascade Idaho just about every summer.

I have to say, ive lived in Coeur d'Alene all my life and have yet to get bored. Still find new places to explore and hike, and the fishing is nuts! you know theres like 50 lakes all within a short drive from CDA? Having more national forest than city is always a good thing. Is anyone catching on that im very proud of where i live? And Diamond, I will be looking for that nice shasta of yours! (:

I driven all over in those mountains and up the St Joe in the boat. If any of you get this way you must bike the Hiawatha trail. It is beyond beautiful. I can't imagine living anywhere else even though right now it's 23 degrees and thats the high for the day...lol I know there are a few of us from the Spokane area as well. We might all have to circle the wagons sometime in the summer and meet...
