Sassy is a 1965 16ft Continental and has a 38 gal fresh water tank under the seat.
There is also what appears to be a 12v electric pump to pressurize the tank but I can find no connection to a battery. There is a toggle switch to turn it on but nothing happens.
Can someone explain all of this to me?? Sparky, another member, saw it this past weekend and tried to expain it to me but I need it in writing--hee, hee!!
Thanks! Sassy's mom

The Forester had one of those too. My shasta has a hand pump that pumps the water from the tank to the sink. You can buy the manual ones in a camping or RV store and from what I see they just hook to the fresh water tank via a plastic hose. Mine has a marble in it that moves around so I think that blocks the hose when I'm not pumping.

It depends on the type of tank. Some are designed to be pressurized with air, others use an on demand pump to draw water out of the tank. The old air pumps had a visible pulley and belt with a copper tube going to the tank.
Both 12 volt pumps are designed to be hooked to a battery. The hot wire is hooked to a switch and then goes to positive on the battery. Ground is negative.
The battery is probably not on your trailer; it would have to be purchased new. You will need a fuse block or inline fuse for a battery/12 volt system.
