My husband and I just purchased a 1960 Shasta airflyte and the current tail lights on the trailer are square rather than round. You can see the outline of the original round lights and we would like to replace them. Can anyone tell me where or how to go about finding something that matches the look of the picture I'm attaching? (not our trailer, but from a pic I found online) Thanks! I have a host of other questions, but thought I would start here! : ) Attachments:

you can get these off ebay and other places, the one in the pic looks like a normal style tail light off of something with a visor added, you can by just the visor or "eyebow" here is what I put in my 59, and I have set as well for my 61, they are plastic chromed. got them off ebay for about $45.00 a pair, the are just the right size to fit between the aluminum creases on the outside.

Great! Thanks for the helpful info. To what extent does one decide how far to restore their trailer? I'm sure that is different for each person, but I don't want to do anything that destroys the value of this little gem. Can anyone tell me the #1 things that people look for when buying a restored Shasta? I'm not planning on re-selling it now, but just want to do a good job restoring it. Pretty much everything is going to need some TLC but I'd love to hear what you would consider "must do's" as far as restoration goes. Thanks!

things to do, fix leaks, and replace rotted wood in walls, modern fuse box, new butel tape under anything that might leak, etc.
things buyers look for
distance from there home to the camper (no one wants to drive 3 days to buy a camper)
A Good clean Title.
good wood in the walls, water spots or rotted birch usually means rotten wood inside the walls.
Wings!
modifying stuff is fine as long as it can go back to the original configuration.
it really depends on the buyer, some will not mind modern modifications, but the purist will want everything original.
my vote is dont worry about that to much, make it like you want it and keep it forever.
