well, I am almost to the point of installing my AC and i'm spitballing ideas, I have one of the new no drip AC units, it uses the drainage to blow over the coils to help cool them, however I have noticed that it also splashes small mist droplets out the back and out the sides, so a full waterproof enclosure for the bottom and sides/back with a drain will be needed, anyone built something like this?
I have a large industrial sized baking pan that I might use for the bottom and maybe sheet metal sides riveted together with polyurithane (window weld) to seal it. it is used to install car windows, and dryes semi hard. yes/no?

Hey man, you have my attention. It's time for me to start thinking about my fix for ac as well. Do you have a pic of the system and your game plan?

I'm building a dresser/AC holder in the rear under the rear window, my layout is completely different, I am going to have bunk beds on the curb side, bathroom in the rear street side corner. this should work well, the AC will be about 3 ft off the floor and blow down the length of the camper CURB SIDE STREET SIDE

Looks like a family affair! ;D I like it.. A barracks on wheels! This AC that you have.. It's not like the freestanding portable floor models that we see out there for about $250 to $400. Your is like a more tradition window unit with some new intake out take venting systems and deals with the condensations in a new vaporizing matter?

I'd be inclined to use something other than metal for the upper part, because of possible noise. Something more sound-deadening that won't pick up the hum and resonate it? And I'd think about coating the baking pan for the same reason.
