The purist will hate me, but I gotta have a toilet AND a shower. At the moment my 16-SC has a portable chemical toilet sitting on a busted up black tank. Both must go. First I started looking at replacement tanks. I soon discovered that I could get a waste (black) tank built into a combination toilet platform and shower pan (see picture below). Woohoo! Or so I thought... Plan A. It looked as though I could place a low-profile toilet on top of it and let the recessed shower pan make up for the height difference (don't need my knees against ears : . What I hadn't thought of was that I'd still need room for the grey water tank under the shower pan, and it probably needs to be larger than the waste tank. My shower height is getting lower. Plan B. Find a combo toilet platform and shower pan at roughly the same height and add separate tanks under each. The current problem with this is that I already ordered and received the low profile toilet. It's the knees to ears thing again. Plan C. Working on it. Will probably involve ditching the combination toilet platform and shower pan, but still having them in the same room. Anyone have a combination toilet and shower configuration? Attachments:

My vote is plan A. Just move the grey water tank to the side and maybe towards the axle under the trailer.

Had a couple of free days recently, so it was time to start gutting. The holding tank was under a chunk of tiled plywood. Attachments:

And it extends about 2/3rds of the way under the kitchen drawers. Attachments:

But before I could pull it out, I had to remove the dump vavle from under the trailer. Attachments:

Unfortunately the bolts holding it to the tank were rusted and broken. I had to bust it up to get it out. Attachments:

All of the tank fittings were just as troublesome. Attachments:

We have a 16-SC and are looking for any plumbing diagrams that can help with the redo. If you have any references from your work can you please share. It is a '72 and has the toilet with the shower pan under it. Thanks. Rebecca.

He also has an older model than yours, although they may be similar.

Yup, been away from the site (and trailer) for a while. I expect to get back into it in the next few months.
40yroldshasta, looks like someone posted some plumbing videos for you in another thread. If you didn't get what you needed from those, maybe I can get some 'as is' pictures for you later.
