I've seen this discussed somewhere but can't find it anywhere. How have you guys been addressing the problem with the plywood not being wrapped at the bottom by the aluminum siding? Mine's not rotted enough to have to tear out anything (yet!), but it will need to be addressed to prevent further damage.

There was discussion about this recently at repairingyesterdaystrailers.yuku.com I can tell you my opinion on the matter. I would only prime and paint the plywood bottom. As long as the water can dry out, it should not pose much of a problem. If you cover the plywood with something, and you get a leak, the water would not be able to drain out, and then you are certainly in for some damage. The way the trailer was built was probably not too bad, the plywood is sealed against the trailer floor, and the aluminum side allows any water that may come through screw holes or something to drain out. This is just my opinion and I'd guess others will vary.
