Wasn't sure which area to post this. Anyway, is anyone going? It's August 4th-7th. 675 miles of yard sales. Starts in MI and ends in Alabama. Thinking about doing the 240 miles in Ohio on hwy 127. Would likely take the little Shasta and camp too for a night or two before heading back. I need to check on places to camp along 127 and see what's available. If anyone else is planning on going let me know and maybe we can meet up at the same camping area if you will be in the state of Ohio. I might make it further but not sure yet. www.127sale.com/Great fun and a great way to find vintage treasures along the way!

We were talking about doing the sale this year. It got ruled out. I didn't know if had the trailer done by then or if we would have any dough at the end of the resto. We were looking at it pretty close though. It is a bit of a haul though for a bunch of garage sales and swap meets. We love that sort of thing but it is drive just to get there.
From the reviews I have read online is that it is advertised as starting in MI but doesn't quite reach there yet. Maybe each year it creeps farther up but I heard it is a bit sparse up that far north.
It is on our list of things to do in the upcoming years.

Sounds kind of like the Nebraska Junk Jaunt ... I'm going to that in September for the 2nd time.

Mary, anything going on this month in Nebraska? I am planning my trip for after the 15th. I am looking for any junkin' shops and vintage flea markets.

Mindy, not quite sure if anything exciting is happening in Nebraska right now. Here are some links you could check out. Lincoln has an open air market at the Haymarket every May through October from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (I've never been so can't tell you how big it is ... I'd love to go personally but don't want to leave the house at 5:30 to get there). As far as junk shops/flea markets, I've never found any up where I'm at ... we have some antique shops but they're not really all that great and basically it's people I see at auctions outbidding me and then selling the stuff in their stores .. ha ha! Where I'm at, it's really rural, lots of small towns and not a lot to do. Down south, there's more interesting stuff. Not sure exactly what your route is but maybe you can find something. lincolnhaymarket.org/events/farmers-market/www.visitnebraska.gov/pdfs/EventsCatalogMnth.pdfwww.visitnebraska.gov/
