We took Dixie on her maiden voyage over the holiday. So much work took place this past month putting her back together for the trip. I am far from done with the renovation but she's come a long way. We hit the road on Saturday from South Florida and traveled to St. Augustine, Florida. I kept the speed at 65mph up I-95 and it took about 4.5hrs. She pulled good but I realized I did not have enough air pressure in the tires because of the swaying. I filled the tires from 40psi to 65 PSI and it made a world of difference. We stayed at a RV resort across the street from the beach just south of St. Augustine Beach. I cannot give a good recommendation on the place but I am not going to whine about it either. We had myself, my girlfriend and another couple and the Airflyte was perfectly sized for this outing. The airconditioner worked flawlessly and was much needed as it was in the 90's this weekend. Thanks Kel! We really had a great time!! I am glad you like my blog. I enjoy sitting down after a hard day of working on Dixie and reflecting on all that has been done with her. I'm going to miss Daisy! I really want to restore an Astroflyte! I would have quite the collection then. Attachments:
