I'm removing the lower skin but now I'm stuck! This is the only thing I can't figure out how to get off. Does it rotate? Hacksaw? Ideas?? It doesn't move easily and looks rather corroded. I hit it with WD40 to try to see. Thanks for the help! Jenn

It does screw on to the the pipe fitting running to the original tank. Since I could not use my original tank due to rupture, I had to Sawzall it away from the tank from the inside. I then had to soak it in PB Blaster and then I was finally able to get it to break free from the pipe. Be careful as that pot metal water fill can be a bit fragile.....and tough to find a replacement.

I agree, it "unscrews". If you heat the water fill and have a helper turn (use welding gloves) it usually will break loose. Have someone hold the fill pipe on the inside as it will break off the tank... The other option would be to cut the fill pipe on the inside of the trailer.

PB Blaster and a cheater did the job. Unfortunately the fill got bent a little. Bummer.

Hopefully you can carefully tweak it back into shape.
