My 1970 Compact came with its keys on this keychain. I was told it was original (i am supposed to be the 3rd owner). The chain and ring certainly dont look new. Just curious if anyone know what year this might have been from. If you ask me i dont think its original 1970, i suspect a PO might have gotten it at a dealer while buying parts? Anyone have any idea? Attachments:

It looks more like something that would come from a gift shop from someone visiting MT. Shasta?? As it looks like a mountain on top of the word Shasta?

I done a little googling on this, my vote is for Shasta Cola, see the pic on this can, looks the same, and appears to be a registered trademark according to the (R) your pic is fuzzy but the mountains and font appear to be the same.

Great call Universalexports...my dad worked for a citrus co-op called Golden Gem that canned their own brand of concentrate as well as fresh juice in containers...they expanded into canning sodas including store brands and independent brands...they canned Shasta brand sodas...this was as early as the early 60's I believe...he was always bringing trinkets and give-aways home that sales reps would give him...he was the comptroller...seems like I saw some shasta trinkets amongst the stuff...he just dropped all of it in a shoebox in his work shop...did not recall seeing that particular style key chain, but I wasn't a shastaholic back then I was a Schwinnaholic...I'd bet it is from the 60's though.
