I completely forgot about an email I sent off to Bargman/TriMas some time ago regarding production of the L-66 door latch and I just heard back from the technical service coordinator at Cequent, another TriMas company. He said the reason they've discontinued producing the L-66 door latch is because the tooling that was used to make the L-66 got to be in such bad condition that it would have cost more to make new tooling than it was worth. And, as far as he knew the L-66 lock will not be reproduced again.
Just thought I'd share that.

PS. Sure is nice to see all of the activity on the website pick up. Looking forward to following flyingham's frame-off restoration. Keep the pix coming!

I knew that I had heard that before somewhere. Maybe a online partition would get them to remake them.
Then again. Maybe if they made them right the first time no one WOULD need an replacement. They are pieces of crap and now they get more than 100 bones on ebay? There is a certain amount of injustice there.
I need a nap. Brian
