Just an FYI for any of you in the Atlanta Ga. Area; Callaway Gardens has free park admittance for the rest of February. I spent last weekend at FDR state park in Pine Mountain (yes it was cold and windy) and though most foliage is still in the winter bloom, at Callaway, the butterfly house, horticultural center and birds of prey show offers great experiences. There is golf, Fly fishing, boat rentals for lake fishing and miles of trails to bike or hike. FDR state park is a few miles from Callaway and offers clean bathhouses, nice camp sites and cabins both on and off the lake. If you go be sure to try the Aspen's Mountain Grill in Pine Mountain. We have always had good food and service there.
