Hi! Sorry if this is the wrong section but is there an easy (hahaha) way to replace the wheel wells on a compact? The floor and walls are in good shape on the inside. Some of the frame on the outside is rotten and I plan to replace that. But the wheel wells are rusted pretty badly. Can anyone give advice on replacing wheel wells? Thank you! Jill

i believe that under the flooring they are flanged out and stapled in from the bottom. we did not pull ours but i seem to recall that's how they are. there's not much you can get to from the inside. to keep the water out its a sealed well from the bottom side. id say pull the staples and see where that gets you.

I haven't done much on the inside yet, but I guess I will start digging on the inside. Also, any ideas on where to get them made in Georgia or SC? Thank you!

Mine on Coralee were flanged. My son is a metal fab guy in a street rod shop and is making me a set using my old ones as a pattern. He is using a little heavier materials since like everything else the original ones are flimsey. They might cost me $50 all together
