Gee, Schweet, you want to sell that thing for, say, $6500? It is absolutely gorgeous and worth at least twice what you put into it. Insure it well, and enjoy every second you spend in it. And when camping season is over, take some of your fave pictures and make yourself a coffee-table (or camper-table) book about your experience. Oh, and don't forget to add a half-hour into every day that you have her out, you're going to be stopped by everybody who will want to see it. It's sort of like always having your house on the market. It has to be perfect all the time for the people who want to see it!

Looks awesome. Mind if I use your screen door for inspiration? My aluminum door just sucks.

I built my rock guard, I got lucky and had a piece of skin left over from rebuild. It's not to shabby considering I have never seen one in real life.

Great idea re-using the old metal. Looks great...that might be another idea I'll use from your project.

OOOOOH sign ME up!.... You really did a wonderful job on this. I am still debating putting one on mine, but since they weren't original and the mechanics are a bit of a challenge, plus I have not got a great piece of new aluminum available, maybe you should build mine!! (JK) Nice job!

May not seem so very exciting, but that foam looks very expensive...It is starting to really pull together. Very nice.

Some of you saw this this in the "what did you did today" thread but I figured I'd post in my own thread since the dinette is done! We ended up using a med-firm foam that was 1.8lb density, we then wrapped the top and bottom in Dacron batting, covered that in a light weight fabric to keep the Dacron in place a make putting the cover on easier. We found a really nice twill upholstery grade fabric that is very similar to that of a 50's era couch. My wife(my favorite seamstress) made the black vinyl piping and sewed the covers together. Each cushion has a full length zipper along the back edge. Each cushion takes about 2 1/2 hours to complete, I couldn't be happier with results! For anyone looking for prices we've spent about $700 on our cushions, we never had it priced by a upholstery shop though!

Wow! Very nice, your wife did a great job. All the materials go well together. How did you end up doing the rear bed? Separate cushions or sewn together.

Thanks, The rear couch is going to be 3 separate pieces of foam. When I rebuilt mine, I made it so the rear bed is a full size, not a 3/4! I eliminated the rear night stand and built it into the wall next to the bathroom door(or in my case the closet). I want to be able to turn the cushions over since we're planning on taking our dogs with us.
