Hi all, Next question of the morning. So, when i'm ready to pull the seams off....If needed can you buy replacement rubber & the rack? seam thingy they go into? Does this question even make any sense? I have attached a pic so you can maybe see what I mean. So heres the short story. After driving for about 4 hours we stopped for gas. As usual I did a walk around the camper looking for anything suspicious. Well didn't have to look far. This is the front left corner. The seam was exposed & pulling off. I could see the extensive rot inside but since we were enroute to our camping destination, naturally I did a quick fix with some L clamps & deck screws. Just to get the old girl home in one piece. Oh, and yes, I did say a prayer constantly on the return trip. So, now I will have to address this problem. But for the moment I am working on the floor & frame in the rear. As I go along I will fix the seam / track. Any suggestions? Comments, words of encouragement? Thanks guys. Hope to see you all out on the road someday (instead of in the garage). Attachments:

That looks like the aluminum channel trim molding with the vinyl insert that slides up the channel to cover the screws, is that correct? That's a more modern way of trimming the seams than the older trailers that most folks here have. My '76 didn't even have it, just exposed-screw J-rail. But you can get the vinyl inserts lots of places, like here, and they probably sell the aluminum part too, I would think: www.shoprvparts.com/product.do?no=14194FSome aluminum moldings are here: www.yellowdogextrusion.com/extmold05.htmOf course, you have to get the insert that fits the particular extrusion you buy. If your aluminum is still good, you can just buy the insert vinyl. But it's a piece of cake, mechanically.
