Our custom interior renovation of the '60 Airflyte has a top bunk in the front (where the dinette used to be), but in order to allow max. headroom (was that not a TV character in the 80's? - I digress), the bunk seems a bit close to the ceiling (in other words, it creates clostrophic sleeping conditions -- think coffin-like). I kind of thought that perhaps having a square vent/skylight in that space might help, but alas, the renovation is nearly complete. I think I can figure out where my nailing studs are, but wonder if it is worth doing this type of adaptation. It would be on the roof, so it would not really mess with the lines of the exterior. I have a spare square vent. You can sort of see the bunk in this picture -- don't know why I don't have any that are of that space in my iPad... Attachments:
