Anyone have any helpful hints? I drilled them but they are still attached on both sides?

I don`t remember finding any rivets on our Shasta. But we removed 1000`s(well, 100`s, lol) from our Airstream by drilling them out. Where are these rivets and could you post a pic please?

I'm taking apart the Jelouise windows and there are revits holding the little arms onto the window frame. About half of them were so rusty that they just fell through when I pushed them. Unfortunately the other half are not rusty enough to do that. I tried drilling them but I'm wondering if I used too small a bit?
For some reason I have never been able to post pictures here? The Choose File "button" is "whited" out so it won't let me select it, sorry.

I was inspired by atomic addiction's tutorial on how to restore the Jalousie windows (they need it bad!) hopefully I can master the art of revits

To post pictures I click on "reply" at the bottom right of the last post in a thread and then I click on the "browse" button.
Sound like maybe your drill bit is too small. We use a drill bit slightly larger than the rivet. Hope this helps!

You need to drill out the backside of them, the side that looks like it has a crater. If it spins then you need to use a small flat head screw driver and wedge it in between the front of the rivet and the window frame to take up the slack in the rivet an prevent it from spinning. The size drill bit you need is the diameter of the backside of the rivet.
