The 1966 Shasta Compact that I bought did not come with a propane tank. I bought one the other day and now I want to mount it on to the trailer. I have looked and looked on line for mounting brackets but none of them seem to be right. Of course I can bolt it on but I thought there might be something more secure.
Thanks

You could have it welded on like the original ones were or use bolts. When I replaced them on my 2 Shasta's, I bolted them on.

This is an example of a single tank mount. The J brackets are available from A liner dealers. Attachments:

Mine came with a pair of angles welded inside the v of the tongue, facing each other. There are holes drilled in the center of each angle on the vertical part. One side has a captured pin that goes through the angle and the base of the tank ring. And the other side i have a master lock that goes through the holes the same way. I dont know if this was a standard set up but its how ours came.
