how to reseal side vents

I need to remove the side vents connected with the stove and hood in my Loflyte and want to know how to reseal them. They look from the outside to use narrower putty tape than the j rail and windows. Do you cut down the putty tape or is there a narrower version of it for these vents (there are 3 total counting the one for the fridge o the other side of Ernestine.)

Scissors work pretty well. Just cut to fit.

As vikx says. We used scissors to cut the putty tape into narrower strips for ours.
