Hello all, I have a 1960 Shasta Compact, the only thing not original about it are the shackles the previous owner fabricated and installed, they are way to long, my guess is, the previous owner towed it with a lifted truck and gave the compact a cheap shackle lift to raise the trailer. the shackles measure 5 inches from center bolt hole to center bolt hole. My question is, on a stock 1960 Shasta compact, what is the "center of the bolt hole to center of the bolt hole" measurement?? Thanks in advance

Dan, I was getting ready to open a new thread and noticed your question. Did you ever get an answer? I just got done servicing my shackles on my 61 compact and if you need I will be happy to send you the measurement?

What's a shackle? Is that the same as springs/leaf springs?
