I just discovered this problem and don't know the remedy yet, if there is one, but be forewarned: !!Bird Poop Etches Plexiglass!! I now have what I believe to be permanent scratches/etching in my plexiglass in the shape of bird droppings I didn't have the option of using glass in the rear window because I could never find the snap-in glazing to hold the glass in place. Boy do I regret not being creative enough to find another way to have used glass instead. sigh

They work really well, but I've never tried them on plexiglass. Sorry I'm not familiar with the snap in glazing your talking about. Guess thats something I may need to learn.

You can also wet sand (with water) the spot lightly with 2000 grit 3M wet sandpaper before polishing.

Thanks...I have some scrap plexi that I'll try things on first but I'll certainly let everyone know what I try and what is or isn't successful.
I hate to be reactive instead of proactive...is there anything I can use to prevent this from happening again? Can I clearcoat it or something?

As long as you got scrap to try stuff on, try RainX to be proactive. Works on glass on cars, but I have never tried on plexi. It puts a clear slick coating on windshields that even paint can't stick to. Sense the windshields on cars have a plastic coating, I would think it would work on plexi.

hey another option might be to cover the entire trailer in those spikes they use to keep birds from nesting/landing on buildings. the birds would have to dive bomb the rear window to bypass your spiked fortress. Attachments:
