I was troubleshooting some issues with our 12V wiring and discovered that we had continuity between the positive and ground. It took a while to pin it down, but we finally figured out that the Progressive Dynamics PD9245 converter (which is not powered on) appears to be bridging the 12V positive to the ground, although with high resistance (333 ohm).
My multimeter has a continuity test that shows the amount of resistance in the circuit, and if I connect one side to the trailer skin, and the other side to the negative (ground) side of the PD9245 output, the meter shows very low (1.7 ohm) resistance, which is what I expect. But when I connect it to the positive side of the PD9245 output, the meter shows about 333 ohms which, admittedly, is high but I didn't expect to see any continuity between the positive and ground.
Can anyone confirm if this is normal? Thanks for your help.
