I have been surfing thru so much Shasta information lately, my mind is a whirl! somewhere I thought I saw a wall hung-matches holder with a Shasta logo on it. Does anyone know anything about that or where I might have seen it?

Thanks so much for finding it! I found something similar in my Shasta, without the logo and most of the paint is peeled off. Is that something that might have been standard in the 60 shastas?

Shastas? Not necessarily. Pre-1960's homes? Yes.
You can find them a lot in antique stores and sometimes in thrift/junk shops. They were a pretty common item in the Mid Century (or pre) home. The time before disposable lighters were popular and folks still bought matches by the box. They do fit nicely in a vintage trailer though. Camping and LP stoves require matches so they come in handy.

I scored a cool old blue one in a abandoned Elcar mobile home off the side of the road. Match holders are pretty neat I think.

I will print a Shasta logo off my computer and use gel medium to add it to the matches holder.....hopefully won't go crazy adding Shasta logos to everything!

There was a similar matches holder in the '38? Hayes I recently purchased that I believe is original, so these seem to be a neat item as far back as then.
