Looking for a shop close to the Pasadena CA area that can do my wheel barrings and buy white wall tires.
Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

White wall trailer tires are not readily available at tire shops. You can order car tires at Coker.com but those are not DOT approved for trailer use.

Try diamondback tire for white walls. I used them for the red lines on my TR6. They use new rubber and have a process that adds the white wall to a new tire. www.dbtires.comBe warned they will cost you more than the average trailer tire.

As for the wheel bearings, you should be able the handle that yourself, but if not or you just don't want to play in the grease...I would think any service station/garage/auto repair place would do it for you. A shop should be able to do at a it fairly affordable price, also.

That's the place I was trying to think of, I've heard quotes of $245.00 per tire plus shipping. I think I like black walls for that price!

Yah, they're steep for sure. I went for it with the TR because there were no other good options. Other than Coker no one else makes red lines anymore. I did some research on Coker, their tires are made in Mexico from old molds...from what I read the quality is questionable. On the TR forums general consensus is that they are good for show but not necessarily for durability or performance. For a trailer that may not matter. Personally, I'd go with a quality tire, especially after spending $$$$ to restore one of these babies.

Thanks for the replys everyone. I definetly need something durable as I plan on taking this trailer on my fishing trips to the sierras. ( 65 Shasta Compact)..
As for the wheel barrings..I could do it my self if I had the time and space. I really just want to have someone make it road worthy and then Ill get the interior cushions done. Then prob next summer paint. Its very clean and doesnt need too much work. Cant wait to get her on the road!

Hey blazer5 do you have a K5 Blazer? Where do you go in the Sierras? I'm all over that place as much as I can for the last 30 years and I have a K5 myself.
