Hi all, Not sure where this question would belong, so I put it here.... We are looking into take the cab off the frame so we can sand blast the frame, but not sure how to do this?? If anyone has done this could they please lead me in the right direction...I have come across a web site about how to completely clean/sand blast the frame but they didn't mention how to take the trailer off... Thanks for any help, Cha Cha

Thanks for any help, Cha Cha Trying to take the cab off and then put it back on could more than likely lead to more problems. Once you remove the bolts that hold the cab to the frame when you go to place them back in you might not get the tightness or bond that you once had before you removed them. My suggestion to you would be unless you’re doing a frame off restoration I would just wire wheel the flaky rust off. Use POR15 or Chassis Savor to repaint the frame with. That stuff is great but don’t get any on you or the ground.

Good advice from Distant75. You would have a tough time lifting the cab of the trailer and not twisting and breaking something. I wire brushed mine and painted from below with good results.
