Is there such a cover for Shastas which has pockets for the wing tails? I can see that if one covers with a tarp there is a tremendous about of stress which would be place on the wing tail and then cause the tart to tear through. what do others do for this?

We cover the wing with a section of a swim noodle. They are hollow inside so if you cut a notch out (like cuttin a piece of pie) it will fit tightly over the wing and won't rip the tarp. I can't describe it very well so let me know if you need a pic.

65callie, I got you, so then you just put a poly-tarp on to cover for off season?

We keep her tarped year round. Don't think she leaks but why take the chance? So much rain here in Georgia, we have always kept trailers and boats tarped. We buy our tarps at tarpsonline.com Good prices and lots of size, thickness, and color options.

I notched out a tennis ball for the end of each wing to prevent the sharp edge from cutting through my cover. Works great!

I haven`t found a cover that I like for Mr Sam. If I buy one or make one, I plan on cutting slits for the wings and making sleeves for the wings that velcro over the out side of the main cover. Tennis balls sound like a plan too

Watch out for the grommets on the tarps; the PO of our Deuce ended up in tears when she saw the chips in the paint from the grommets hitting the trailer in the wind.

Ugh, why didn't I think of those ideas?!? I bought one of those high-dollar Shasta covers and my wings tore it. Thankfully, the tears don't hit at a seam or anything, but it was a bummer just the same.
