This may be a stupid question and maybe it has been asked previously but I have been searching and searching and just cannot seem to find the answer so here goes. We pulled out the icebox and are either going to put in a small fridge or just fill in the hole with cabinetry. Question is....is there a certain type of fridge we need to get(i.e trailer fridge) or will a dorm type fridge work? TIA

a dorm type fridge will work, just measure and make sure it will fit in the hole, you may also need to run an outlet to it so you have a place to plug it in and cut a hole for the AC motor to vent the hot air out. the shasta's with a fridge had a vent in the wall.

I agree, a dorm fridge will work but be sure to vent all around. I like to add air spaces at the front, sides and out the side.
Also, don't buy a fridge labeled "NuCool". They only cool about 35 degrees below ambient temperature. At 90 degrees, the fridge would be 55. Not good.
