(Please see last update,.below.) If you're planning to remove your old brown ice box and replace it with a fridge, I might be interested in buying the ice box. I have a '61 Airflyte, but I think most of the late '50s-early '60s campers used about the same thing. I'm located in Indiana but would pay shipping if the box is in good shape and reasonably priced. Thanks!

If you can't find one, Vintage Trailer Supply has two sizes of new ones. If you wanted something that matches your interior, you could probably paint the front panel. They're more efficient at keeping things cold than the old ones, but they lack the "cuteness" factor.

I've seen them - and alas, they are definitely lacking in cuteness! We have the summer to find one, won't be taking our maiden voyage until September. So I plan on holding out for a while. Surely, someone, somewhere, has what we're looking for?

I now have TWO ice boxes! Neither are the original style for my camper, but either would look decent in it - won't clash, at least. I bought a vintage Coleman Upright Cooler, and then within a few days found an icebox from a pop-up, both have a woodgrained front door that will look pretty good with the camper's birch. I think I will use the pop-up ice box, only because it is slightly wider and will fit the space more perfectly. if anyone is interested in the Coleman, I will probably be selling it. It's in perfect shape, with all its original shelves and a bin for the ice. I can send pix. (May post some, once I get to a computer. Right now I'm on my phone.) Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
