Ok so this is for sale, but they are new. Vikx, if you feel this should be in the other SOB section feel free to move it. I just wanted to share this. It is so cool and looks amazing. $100,000!!! Now I just need to win the lotto so I can afford it. I would still keep my Shasta of course. www.bowlusroadchief.com/

For $100k I'd expect real leather on the couches and not pleather! IMHO it's nice but seems to be missing something, the interior seems too sterile.

Don't get me wrong I think the price is a bit high, ok really about double what I expected, but if I won the lotto how the heck else would I spend the money.

There IS something sort of sterile about this one. It's the same as the new "retro" Shastas and Scotty trailers. That's why, even though a lot of us add modern touches, we still keep the vintage feel. The redone Shastas that have been gutted and made thoroughly modern (until the only way you know that they're old is by the exterior), don't sell for nearly as much as ones that have had their "vintageness" preserved. This is a beautiful trailer, and much like the original, but it just doesn't quite measure up.

Yeah, I love the vintageness, too.. My trailers are far from "perfect". I keep old panels (quality!) when possible and really like all the old about the trailers. Each one has a story to tell. Maybe Butch will write a book one day. LOL

You know what? If any of us had 100K to spend on this, we could BUY A NEW BOARD... Pictures would be easy too. LOL.

We have already seen posts were members have stated that they would be willing to chip in a small one time fee for the forum. So why not every member chip in approx $15 each and we would have $100k to buy our own (thats if my math is correct).

Hamlet has written a few and is still looking for a cartoonist to do illustrations. You`ve mentioned this before but I wasn`t thinking. I was assistant to the publisher on a rag magazine for years. I have a couple of personal friends who are freelance cartoonists. Pm me if your interested and I`ll put you in contact with them.
