What is the difference between a 16-SC and an AirFlyte?

The SC )Self Contained) has a toilet room on the street side rear. The SC-S (Self Contained-Shower) has a toilet room that's just enough larger to handle a shower pan.

That was true of the earlier models, but in the middle 60's (a la '66), the 16SC and the 16 SC/S were sorta merged, and the earlier differences were not quite the same. The potty closet was shifted to mid-ship by then. I think this looks like it should for a '66 model, judging by the front window configuration, but are there more photos of this one you posted, pinksheep? The middle sixties brought the Starflyte model and there were 3 based on the same frame. The Airflyte was the model with no potty; The Astroflyte had a potty, no shower; The Starflyte had the wet bath with shower. They were built on the same frame and very little difference amongst them from the outside. However I would guess Airflyte. The streetside window in the midship would be higher and smaller if it were in the Potty Closet. vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/34/shasta-airflyte-astroflyte-starflyte
